Flowers and women appear as main subjects in Yim Jiksoon’s works. In particular, a composition with a seated woman is one of main features of Yim’s works. One can almost feel the heat of summer from a sleeveless blue dress and a hat, and a background of Intense green grass and flowers. The diagonally arranged composition breaks the monotony, and the colorful hues of blue, red, and green creates a sense of richness in this work.
