Ain El Mraiseh is a costal neighborhood of the city of Beirut, which El Bacha loved and where he spent a great deal of time during his childhood taking walks with his father, reading by the water side, watching fishermen and walkers by for hours. He loved to depict this neighborhood and remained nostalgic about it during his adult years, remembering the good old days, before Beirut was built up and where old large traditional houses and gardens filled the city, and this particularly beloved part of it called Ain El Mraiseh.
