Along with port, snowscape is one of the artist’s favorite landscape to paint. The work is part of the early works of Oh Chiho. There are trees and poles on both sides, and a street naturally made by people coming and going over the snow. One can feel the cold air and the low light of winter through the gloomy sky, the snow glistening in the sunlight, the color of winter trees, and the bluish purple shadows. The perspective where objects get smaller as they go from front to back is also used to represent the sense of space in this work.
