Dakd Jung has presented new media works that expand the possibilities of visual expressions through the new applications of technology from the perspective of aesthetics. The Fount of Art is an archive showing his study on “fluid aesthetics” by using a new material, a ferrofluid. This archive includes the projected images containing the research process by the artist, a microscope, devices including laboratory glassware, sample, and props. A ferrofluid, a fluid combined with fine magnetic particles, was developed by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to provide fuels for rockets and the seal seems of spacesuits in a zero gravity space. The artist has studied the most effective ways to use them as materials for new drawing by using the properties of the matter of ferrofluids. As the image of the artist who carries out a test in a white lab coat is overlapped with the motions of the fluids that move as if they were dancing following sounds, The Fount of Art stands in the middle of the scientific study for new technology and hydromechanics and the aesthetic struggle of the artist.
