With an interest in theorizing concepts of connectivity, participation, and sincerity, KANG Bora studies structure of digital media environment and its mediation method. Based on
the perspective that an unusual object such as a monster is closely related to humanity’s desire and epistemology, studies which contemporary spirit representation is met with the current zombie contents.compiles the zombie genre that started from the Western zombie contents in the mid 20th century to the recent and the zombie contents that have expanded to the zombies of Asia, while it interprets socio-cultural meaning implied in zombies, the imaginative creature. Through this, the work surveys what connectivity and discontinuity the Asian zombies represent in cross-cultural perspective, and provides an opportunity to consider zombie-ness in the contemporary perspective.
