OBBA, a design studio founded by Sojung Lee and Sangjoon Kwak in 2012, explores the architecture, art, and sociocultural phenomena of a rapidly changing society.

The valley of wind is a fabric artwork installed at the bottom of the plaza bridge in front of the ACC Theater’s Big Door. This work makes use of a “void,” defined as “a large, empty space,” to serve as an agent between spaces or a threshold that welcomes visitors.

Focusing on the outdoor exhibition space as a passageway for the wind, the installation uses fabrics and wires to offer an audiovisual translation of the winds’ movements.

The artwork, in the form of a stage curtain that functions as a divider between the audience and the stage and marks the beginning and end of a performance, corresponds with the spatial characteristics of a theater.

Moving from the ACC Asia Plaza to the ACC Theater, from the Haneul Madang garden to the lower level, down the stairs lined with crepe myrtle trees, visitors can see and experience how the landscape continues to change with the movement of the wind.
